Autumn 2 News Week 3 December 8th 2021

Good morning everyone,

It was a busy day yesterday with lots of children sharing their work. I visited the Year 1 classroom where the children were busy completing maths work on their whiteboards. I also saw children working hard on their phonics sessions, These take place across Reception to Year 4 and are really helping children to get off to a good start with their reading,

Key Stage 1 pick up at the end of the day.

We have a lot of children being picked up from one space at the end of each day. Please could I ask that you help with this by gathering in separate areas so that the class teachers can see each parent. Thank you.

Coming home with your child over the next few months.

Well done to Jacob, Maddison W and Sam for sharing their excellent maths work with me.

Our behaviour strategy

Well done to Secret Garden class for earning more leaves.

I hope that at the end of each day the children will tell you all about getting their photograph on the pupil recognition board. The aim of this is to recognise when children are making the correct choices and their behaviour means that they and everyone else can learn. The best class for the amount of leaves is Treasure 1- well done!

Please download the app so that you can see how many Dojo points your child has earned.

I hope you have a good day and please either speak to me on the path or make an appointment if you have any concerns.

Thank you.

Mrs Mason
