Autumn 2 News Week 3 December 9th 2021

Good morning everyone,

Flu vaccinations took place in school yesterday and I was very impressed with how sensible the children were. I visited the Year 2 class who have been working hard to get their name on the Recognition Board. Some children also helped me with our interviews for new staff. They showed how well behaved they are and our candidates told me how wonderful they thought the children were.

Key Stage 1 pick up at the end of the day.

We released Reception children a few minutes earlier yesterday so that we were able to see all parents. Thanks for your help with this.

Pen Licence

Hopefully your child will come home and tell you that they are working towards their pen licence. Children will earn this when they demonstrate they can use fluent, neat and legible joined handwriting throughout their books.

Well done to  the Year 2 children who helped me to choose a new member of staff today- more to follow.

Our behaviour strategy

Well done to Oz class for earning more leaves.

I hope that at the end of each day the children will tell you all about getting their photograph on the pupil recognition board. The aim of this is to recognise when children are making the correct choices and their behaviour means that they and everyone else can learn. The best class for the amount of leaves is Treasure 1- well done!

Please download the app so that you can see how many Dojo points your child has earned.

I hope you have a good day and please either speak to me on the path or make an appointment if you have any concerns.

Thank you.

Mrs Mason
